neutron Electric Dipole Moment
Experiment

Supported by SERI SBFI FCS Grant 2015.0594

PSI nEDM experiment is a room temperature apparatus using Ramsey technique for separating oscillating fields in order to get a handle on the electric dipole moment of neutrons produced by a ortho-Deuterated UCN source. Of course the Standard Model value of neutron EDM is very small, but physics beyond standard model might push it up and into detectable range. I am responsible for joint - analysis of the EDM data. Furthermore I am also interested in using the apparatus to test for "exotic" physics!
